First Quarter (2017) Market Review
The first quarter of 2017 saw a continuation of the stock market rally. Despite the pull-back that occurred in March, the market posted very positive results and finished the first quarter with a total return of 5.93%. Bonds and real estate suffered mildly due to the March interest rate increase; however both posted gains for the quarter. The outlook remains positive as we move into Q2, and the continually improving economic picture further enhances investor optimism.
